The same of love of competition that propelled J. Javier “Jay” Uribe to a collegiate basketball scholarship continues to drive him today in his role as president and co-founder of Möbius Partners Enterprise Solutions, one of the leading IT solutions providers in the southwest and the #1 large enterprise HP reseller in Texas. Since co-founding Möbius Partners in 2000, the company’s sales have skyrocketed, resulting in numerous prestigious national awards recognizing the company’s fast growth. Accolades have included: Entrepreneur Hot 100, Inc. 500, Hispanic Business 500, VAR Business 500, San Antonio Business Journal Best Places to Work and San Antonio’s Fastest Growing Private Companies, CRN Rising Star and more.
Jay was instrumental in developing and driving the strategy behind the company’s evolution from a value added reseller (VAR) to its current position as an IT solutions provider and HP Elite business partner offering clients a wide range of IT solutions. He is responsible for developing and measuring the company’s sales strategies across its offices in San Antonio, Dallas and Houston, and works closely with Möbius Partners’ sales teams, business partners and customers to identify new opportunities. He also evaluates new partnerships, supports negotiations and secures relationships with key technology partners, including HP, Cisco, Oracle, Microsoft and F5 Networks.
A graduate of Southwestern University, Jay has received the San Antonio Business Journal’s prestigious “40 under 40” Rising Star award. Jay and his business partner, Junab Ali, were named finalists for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2009 Award in the Houston & Gulf Coast Area Program in 2009. In 2006, he and Junab were honored as the city’s Rising Stars by the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Jay is a graduate of Leadership San Antonio and Central Catholic High School, and sits on the board of the Family Services Association, Texas Lyceum and Museo Alameda.
Outside of the office, Jay enjoys playing on Möbius Partners’ softball team and coaching his three children’s athletic teams.
