Solution Architect (Servers and Storage)

Summary:

We are looking for customer service oriented solution architects to support our growing enterprise servers and storage business.
 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with the sales support team to provide exceptional customer service
• Gather customer requirements, evaluate solutions and position and recommend technical options, drawing from both Mobius and partner company service and product offerings.
• Work with Mobius and vendor provided research and design tools to create detailed technical configurations
• Coordinate or run product demonstrations as needed.
• Contribute to the creation of statements of work and implement proposed solutions as needed
• Certify the quality of work being done by others
• Assist with the research and development of new product offerings and service offerings
• Development and mentorship of junior solution architects/system engineers. Assist them with their customer and internal administration duties as needed.
• Attend technical classes and complete assigned technical certifications
• Work closely with project manager to keep projects on scope, on time and on budget
• Willingness to travel (up to 30%)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, engineering or comparable work experience
• 5-15 years of work experience (previous experience with a VAR a plus) 
• Required certifications or comparable work experience in 2-5 of the following:
  - HP Storage, Proliant, Blades, Integrity (ASE or MASE)
  - Vmware (VTSP, SRM, VDI)
  - HP Software (Server automation, Opsware, Openview, Data protector, storage essentials, etc)
  - Microsoft (MCSE, MCITP)
• Optional Certifications/Experience
  - F5 ARX
  - Linux (Redhat or SUSE)
  - UNIX
  - Microsoft Hyper V
  - Networking experience (CCNA, Network +, AIS Procurve, etc)
  - Experience/certifications with competitive manufacturer’s products
